We've just put our Eponym Help Blog online!
Currently, it contains our User Manual and an Eponym News section. The User Manual fully describes every feature of our blog software. This is your ultimate reference to the Eponym.com Blog Control Panel. The Eponym News section will keep you up to date on all the events, upgrades, and scheduled maintenance outages at Eponym.com.
For the future, we are working on a "Getting Started" guide, an "Advanced Template Customization" guide, and an F.A.Q.
The Eponym Help Blog is your ultimate reference and support tool for Eponym.com.

We've looked into the problem and found the issue. It should be fixed now. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I am prepared to love this service, but am confused about two things I cant answer even after tons of search your documentation..
(a) Is there any way to change the USERNAME after you've set up a blog? If I had known it would show every time someone hit "profile" I would have picked it more carefully. But I thought it said something about "you can change this later" (b) How does one get support or answers to questions NOT covered in the help docs? Is there a support email address or any plans to start a users forum? Thanks! Re: Re: Eponym Help Blog

I'm glad you are happy with eponym.com. Below are the answers to your questions:
a) No, you are not able to change your username - it is the unique item that identifies who you are. There were other items in the signup form that said "you can change this later", but the username was not one of them. A solution to your problem is to create a new account and transfer your blog over to that new account. b)We are always adding to our help blog, help.eponym.com, so that should continue to be a great resource. We are aware that not all questions can be answered there, so we'll be adding a FAQ next week to help with some of the unanswered questions, and in the future we are planning on adding forums for support of the free blogs. Soon (within the next few business days) we will be offering ways for users to upgrade their blog. Each upgrade package will include email support for most technical problems or questions a user has with their blog. Re: Re: Re: Eponym Help Blog

Thanks for the prompt reply, Greg. On the Username thing it was me reading too fast, but small suggestion: add some text at the sign-on that warns people the UID *will* be seen by anyone who views your profile. As it stands, people might think it's for your own internal use only. As for the upgrade plans, I will read those with interest! Meanwhile, the fact that you plan to add forums on the free side is excellent, since users helping each is one of the more effective ways to grow your own community while helping members solve problems without bugging you ;->

Hi there. I have problem RSS feed. When I put the URL address, it said that "there were errors with submissions". What's that mean?
Thanks. Re: Re: Eponym Help Blog

The free blogs here are ugly. You clutter up free blogs with headers that dont match and a search box that is hiddeous. You did not develope this site, its a pre-built script.
http://home.blogware.com/index.html This is just like a wordpress host. What analysis software can I use to read the weblogs?
I am trying to track who reads my blog and I cannot find a reporting package where the file formats you provide can be used.
Do you have any suggestions? BTW - this was the reason I went with you. I use my blog for business. Re: Eponym Help Blog

How can I change the "blog name" so that it shows my custom title bar graphic?
thanks Re: Eponym Help Blog
Hello - is there anyone there????
This blog doesn't seem to have been updated for ages. My blog has disappeared - nothing but black background but it's still there on 'preview' in layout. Please can anyone help restore it? |
